01 / CORPORATE EVENT · ROSTOCKWhen people danced on the neighbouring ship
During a private boat event at the Hanse Sail, the music reached beyond the booked guests and prompted people on a passing cruise ship to dance on their balconies.

The moment stayed with me because it was not staged. The people on the other ship were not part of our event; they simply responded to the music. It was a reminder that the right track can connect people who do not share a schedule, a table or even the same ship.
Useful for your event: For unusual mobile locations, music, power, setup and weather protection should be agreed early while leaving room for spontaneous moments.
02 / WEDDING · CAPUTHA first dance between the beach and sunset
At a wedding by the water in Caputh, the couple's first dance took place on the beach just as the sun was setting.

The scene did not need elaborate effects. The personal song, the location and the timing carried the moment. Because sunset cannot be postponed, the schedule needed a realistic time window and a calm alternative in case the weather changed.
Useful for your event: Confirm the exact song version, reliable sound at the chosen spot and a suitable indoor alternative.
03 / CORPORATE · ABOUT 800 GUESTSGuests from around the world on one dance floor
An international corporate event brought together around 800 guests with different languages, ages and listening habits.

The answer was not a rigid list of songs assigned to different countries. Familiar rhythms, shared classics, current music and the actual response in the room allowed the dance floor to develop naturally, one group at a time.
Useful for your event: A clear audience brief helps, but enough musical freedom is essential when the crowd is genuinely international.
04 / WHEN PLANS CHANGE · WEDDINGThe flashmob was rehearsed, but the USB drive failed
A wedding flashmob had been carefully prepared, yet the music existed only on a drive that could not be read reliably at the crucial moment.

I had a second laptop with me and used it to start a data recovery from the unreadable drive. The programme was moved back discreetly by a few minutes, the required data was fully restored and the rehearsed flashmob could still take place with only a short delay.
Useful for your event: Send important audio in advance, keep an ordinary MP3 or WAV file on more than one device and test every important playback cue before guests arrive.
05 / WHEN PLANS CHANGE · SAFETYThe power disappeared at the height of the party
A full dance floor changed to silence and darkness within a second when the venue lost power.

I switched to a battery-powered speaker so the music could continue and used two battery lights to provide illumination and orientation while the regular supply was restored. Since that event, an uninterruptible power supply has been part of my backup equipment and can keep my connected setup running for up to one hour, depending on the required load.
Useful for your event: Known circuits and a technical contact remain essential, but battery-powered sound and light plus a suitable UPS can bridge an interruption instead of allowing the event to stop abruptly.
